I absolutely adore paper. Paper is a readily available resource, from everyday ephemera like postage stamps and tickets, to glossy magazine pages, vintage advertisements, and decorative papers from many cultures. I collect paper when I travel. I am a true blue paper collector! One challenge I give myself is to find new ways to use all the different papers I file in my "paper stash." I enjoy painting paper to use for vibrant collage elements, or making ink brush stroke characters that add whimsical flare to a collage. I like to layer transparent papers like sewing pattern tissue. I often add mixed media embellishments with acrylic paints and pens.
